About

I am a “Hangö pojke” (born in Hanko, Finland), and a SQL Server / .NET nerd.

After 9 years working as a researcher / instructor for Developmentor in UK, I now work as a senior SQL / .NET developer for a commercial company, i.e. I have to write production code :) .

My technology interests are obviously relational databases; I was co-author of the first book about SQL Server from a developers perspective: A First Look at SQL Server 2005 for Developers. Lately I have started doing a lot of research into async / parallel programming, LINQ, Reactive Extensions (Rx) Framework as well as functional programming.

So on this blog you can expect to find a lot of SQL Server coverage, (I hope to be able to cover quite extensively SQL11), as well as LINQ (especially “LINQ to Everything”), F#, and Async.
